Seeking Systems Analysts to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals to fill potential new contract awards. This position will be located in Patuxent River, Maryland.

The qualified applicant will become part of Information System's Federal Mission Programs Business Unit supporting the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) in a wide range of leading edge Information Technology products and services supporting the Naval Aviation Enterprise.

Responsible for performing systems analysis and requirements gathering, develop and document all aspects of functional requirements associated with application. This individual will also be responsible for documenting and understanding the business processes, developing associated requirements and use case documentation. The individual will work directly with the end users to gather and clarify needs into requirements. They will assist with developing test cases and participate in system testing, regression testing and defect testing through development, integration and production. They will work closely with the development team to translate functional requirements into system and design documents

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Facilitating, gathering and soliciting business and system requirements from end-user functional representatives and other business stakeholders.
Ensure requirements traceability throughout the life cycle of the software.
Creation and update of business requirement documentation.
Creation and update of System Requirement Specification documentation.
Creation and update of Interface Requirement Specification documentation.
Creation and update of business process and data flows.
Act as liaison between business functional and technical team to ensure business requirements are translated into successful technical solutions.
Assistance with analysis and resolution of trouble calls.
Create and monitor system change requests, assist in the analysis of help desk calls and troubleshooting.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or related technical field.
5 years related recent experience.
4 years related experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
Experience in soliciting, gathering, analyzing, documenting and tracking software requirements as part of a structured software development methodology.
Experience in creating software requirements documentation.
Experience with the use of MS Office Products including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
Must be able to obtain and maintain SECRET clearance (INTERIM required to start).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience in supporting large scale software development projects.
Experience developing Requirements Traceability Matrix and Use Cases.
Experience participating in Agile development methodologies.
Experience in software acceptance testing practices, processes and procedures.
Familiarization with configuration management processes, procedures and tools.
